Download troubles?

Before I get started, let me add:
I'm on my laptop, I've messed around with files so many times the numbers have run together, and I'm not exactly sure if it's my laptop, or something else.

Okay.
So.

I've been trying to download Feralheart back onto my laptop for quite some time. I've failed, quite a lot. So here I am, messing with things, trying to understand, despite all my computer-nerd-ness, on what it wants me to do.

I fail, quite a lot.

So, as a last resort, I came here, to pester people smarter than me.



It downloads Feralheart, as you can see to the left, but, Feralheart doesn't work without DirectX installed properly, which, I have no idea how to fix onto my laptop.

Help would be appreciated. ^^

Also, when you press "ok", it bluntly says the installation for DirectX failed.


i also have internet connection, but the bars on the bottom are pretty bad.
the internet at my aunts is terrible ;w;

I tend to simply ignore the 'DirectX' installation- it isn't essential, but it is suggested just incase there's some sort of important ogre file missing- of course that can simply be fixed by installing the patch.

Boom, your done.

So just try to 'cancel' your DirectX installation whenever it pops up- it won't effect the other window, and you'll most likely be able to continue with your download.

That seemed to work, but it's not allowing me to connect now. ;w;

I've tried repeatedly but it's still now working.

Is it the internet connection here? That's what I'm guessing.

It's just giving me the common known error:
"Cannot connect to front server"
