Game won't open because of DirectX
« on: February 18, 2013, 05:16:32 pm »
So I tried to download Feral-Heart, and the DirectX wouldn't work. It said something about being an unidentified site. So I clicked Finish on the download for DirectX, and Feral-Heart is downloaded. But as soon as I click OK on the OGRE Rendering System, it says "Feral-Heart has stopped working." So why do I need DirectX for it to work? And is there any way to play without it?

I'm guessing your computer may not run on Direct3D mode, try switching your rendering system to OpenGL in case that helps. You can use this tutorial to change it to OpenGL rendering system.

Use this code for it: Render System=OpenGL Rendering Subsystem

Might I ask but what version of DirectX did you download? Are you sure you installed it after downloading?
Will be inactive due to work and exams.
