Deleting Maps

I was starting to think, that it would be a good idea to clean out the old maps I have downloaded but dont use anymore. Currently there are only about four or five in use, and about sixteen others that just sit there taking up space. What's the best way to delete old maps, without losing the ones i'm using?

Go into your FeralHeart folder, then to exports, and delete the .fhm files of the maps that you no longer need.

Would I also be able to move the folders of maps I want to keep, delete everything in exports, then put the files back in? Or would that delete some of the maps in FH/ anything important?
