Heightmap problems! FH KEEPS CRASHING

I don't know what to do! Every time I draw a heightmap, something goes wrong and my FH stops working. I cutted out all the files that could put this in,but nothing works. The heightmap was made in PS elements with options of grayscale, 513 x 513 pixels and resolution of 256 . What went wrong? PLEASE HELP! I NEED THAT MAP SICK! I'm making animation series and wanted to make a 3D map of the territory for a more easy animation. PLEASE HELP!

Is the height map a .png file?
Feral Heart is really picky about stuff like that and it only accepts .png files, at least for me anyway.

Nevermind,turned out I put the transparent on -.- (BAD WILDANNA, BAD xD) Still,thanks for all your active and wonderful help!^^

I used to have this problem~ Even though yours is solved, for future references - I have no idea, but for some people, it always works best when you put things with "Terrain" at the end. Ex.) MountainTerrain. So, in mapmaker, it would be "MountainTerrain.png". Even though you most likely won't have to do this, I wanted to share it. :p
