{Help} Manually Placing Water
« on: May 04, 2013, 03:19:39 am »
Hello users of Feral Heart!

I've had quite a few problems with water meshes, finding them to be unnatural when they're enlarged. Although, someone once told me of manually placing water. I don't know much more of this, but have seen it multiple times in custom maps. I was wondering if someone could explain to me how one might manually place water with the use of meshes (Water sphere/cube).

Thanks,
Stone~

1.Go into the "Object maker", to the mesh-tab.

2.In the mesh-tab type in: "basicshere.mesh" and "add new"
Don't click the "Has Own Collision." thing.
Once that has happened a sphere should come up.

3.In the material tab: "rockMat" should be there, erase it and put "WaterMat"
Go to collisions and select "water Sphere" click "add" Should be the same size.

Hopes this help, and If you need pictures go to...

Thanks for the reply, but it was not the solution I was looking for. I know of the conversion of the basic sphere and such, but I was searching for a.. Different answer.. It's sorta hard for me to explain xD; But thanks anyways c:

I'm afraid I can't explain any deeper, for I have yet to grasp the concept itself. All I know is there may be a way to manually place water just as you would a regular mesh, although it's not quite a mesh. Sorry ^^''

Yeah, you go to your map in Map Maker, go to the objects tab, and at the bottom it has a section for water. In the material blank, put
WaterMat
and then click New Water, and then it'll let you place it like an object.
