Maps...?

I'm new here, and I don't really understand the whole map thing. What's the difference between a "mapped" and "mapless" location, and how do you download maps that you didn't make yourself?

Mapped is a map that someone makes usually for a specific group or rp that they partake in. Mapless just means the group rps in any of the public maps.

To download someone elses map they would have to give you the link to the download. From there you download the map then, usually using WinRaR you can open the file once it's finished downloading. You place all the files into the exports folder in your FH folder. Unless there's .mp3 files which go in media>sounds or .sky/.weather files that go in media>sky.

Just to add on to what Bloo already said. In order to actually go in and use the maps that you downloaded is you must go to Caps of the Distance.
This place is located ONLY from the Lonely cave, and the Plains. If your started out your new character, then you will first be in Lonely Cave. To get to Caps, you must go thought the portal in the water area at the opening of the cave.

Once there and you have successfully downloaded your map, you will see portals runing along side the I like mountain area going up to the cliff on either your left or right hand side.
Now there is a bunch of free custom public maps out there. Some are able to handle your computer capability, and some arnt.

Downloadable links would be placed in either ZIP folder, a Installer, or a rar file. ZIP files you have to manually get each part and put them in your feral heart folder if you are just curious on what maps you are able to download go the the map section of feral heart which ill provide the link to below.
