Let's see...

Horse might get organs crushed if it lays down too long. (I heard this before.)
Horses can be dangerous yet they can get scared easily.
Mares can have more than 2 or 3 foals in their lifetime.
Horses don't like corn as I heard, they're more of the animal version of health nuts.
Horses always sleep standing up, but foals have to outgrow sleeping on the ground.
Teenaged horses are called coals for males and fillies for females.
Yearlings are horses that are not yet teens yet not foals as I heard. (I'm guessing smaller than coals/fillies?)

I'm not sure if I got my facts right completely. I know I probably know more in appropriate facts but... yeah. o3o

hugrf you know a good amount although i do see some wrong facts im not sure if this was just a typo or not but its a colt not a coal lol and some horses like corn and although horses usually sleep standing up they occasionally lie down to sleep
and ya thats pretty much what a yearling is its just a horse that is 1 year old really

horses can collic for many reasons there is sand colic and many other types it can be caused by many things it isnt a disease really its actually very hard to explain what it is but what happens when a horse collics is that their stomach fills with gas and they normally start to roll excesively.. this is bad because when they role  they can flip their gut upside down. once this happens it is very hard to save a horse from collic. if your horse is collicking you should call a vet immediately
symptons of collic may include:
biting/slash kicking at the stomach
rolling excessively
just acting strange in general

a horse at the age of 3 is a mare
dam=mother
sire=father
a male horse at the age of three is a stallion unless it is castrated then it is a guelding
a pony is 14.2 hand or under a horse is 14.3 hands or over
a hand=4 inches
although miniatures are under 14.2 hands they are still considered horses because they have no pony bloodlines.
