This tutorial should help you, it explains how to keep the texture of a preset but still make it a different color.

Also, you kind of should have posted this in the Game help section of the forums, which can be found here.

You could private message a staff member to move this thread for you. A list of staff is right over here.

Mrr we all do it different I suppose - I am using GIMP when creating presets, and to still have a good nose texture I use the "multiply" button to merge the fur texture with the highlights background - and then I draw on the highlights making it so I can still see the nose with the fur texture..

I hope this makes any sense but it'll probably be good to check out the tutorials that Bouncy provided for you!

Good luck!

Well I use the textures on top of each other too, but with the nose texture it doesn't work since it involves more layers(I think). Here http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/t412/thesilentgirl1/preset_6head.png this is the color of the nose I want using a nose texture. I want to put that over this http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/t412/thesilentgirl1/preset_6head1.png without massing it up. Any steps?

Shallow explained how to do it, but it can be a little confusing.
The link for the tutorial also provides step-by-step instructions, and it works for any textures, not just the default ones.
