Problem with a Terrain Mask?
« on: June 13, 2013, 06:18:54 pm »
What's up everyone?
I've been currently working on a make 1/10% done. The only thing I got done is my heightmap.
So I decided to make a Terrain Mask so it will look better, but when I finished it and put it in game....
This happens: I changed the textures so they weren't black.
But that huge ugly black glitch was still there. Can you please help me?

Looks like you still have some texture options left:

Try clicking the right arrow to 4, 5 & 6 then try changing the texture.

Question: Have you just used three colors for your Mask?
Or did you use Sameth's 6 color masks simplified Tutorial for the mask?

I tried using the 4, 5 and six it didn't work.

Answer: I used Red Blue and Green. That is the only three colors I used.

Make sure your Red, Blue, and Green are at 100. I use Gimp when map making. Also, I'll take the Height and Mask maps from the watermill file and edit those. I then export the edited [Height/mask] map to the terrains folder. Named something different of course! Hahaha :)
