The cadajo. It's a kegend from Mexico. There is much to legend. It involves two cadajo. One is white, the other black. They appear to travelers in the darkness. If black one appears it will usually kill you if the white is not around to protect you. According to the legend, the white is an angel, the black is a demon or the devil himself. Not even the white cadajo can save someone from the devil cadajo. They are known as being dog-like with horns and goat hooves. They range in sizes, from the size of a small dog to the size of a cow.
