After some time continuing to rule over the universe, Mata Nui, the Great Spirit, had reached his destined end. It was not through the will of Makuta that his spirit now rest - no, this time, it was because it was time to "pass on the torch", as one might say. The only problem was this: Who should be his successor? Who would become the next Great Spirit? To solve this problem, Mata Nui looked not to one of the living... but one who was dead. One who had died to save him.
He chose Matoro.
Unfortunately, the celebrations for Matoro's return were short-lived. Not long into the new Great Spirit's reign, a curse left in Makuta's final moments came into action - transporting all those, Rahi or civilian, in Spherus Magna, to this new world and leaving them in feline forms. Now Matoro must find and protect all of those from his home, helping them survive this strange new land.
