Possibly help with Timezone stuff?

I know this is kinda stupid, but I don't really know what to select when I change my timezone thing.
You see, I tried EST time thingy but no luck. It still says 07:06:09 pm when on my computer the actual time is 3:07 PM
I saw Stargazer's profile and her time is the exact same as I am supposed to have on me. I really need to know so I don't get time confused like I always am.
I would like to know, what's the time details I have to select on the timezone list after clicking User Details?
I saw Doctor Flob's list on the movie night thread, but I still don't know really. No luck.
Could someone possibly help me? It's pretty easy if someone my age can figure it out no problem.
Again, yes, this is a rather stupid question. >_<
