Breed name could be possible help. :0
I wouldn't pick a name to over the top or he may have trouble learning it and responding correctly. You know like... two syllables. Eclair is a good name, or maybe oatmeal, oh, how about yogurt? ...s'mores taste good... ehhh, ignore that last one.

Maybe you could tell is his breed and what he looks like, this would help to suggest ideas or even post a picture so we can see your new little puppy!

One of the best things to think about when naming a pup is usually decided by their personality or their looks. If you're puppy is aggressive and stubborn maybe go for a name that 'sounds' like those traits e.g. Rokko/Rocko. Or if you're puppy is a playful chap who loves to be on the move maybe something like Marley. If you decide your pup will be doing shows or used as a working dog names such as; Chase and Gunner are good ones. So I would try thinking about these before naming your pup.

Have you got a favorite animals programme/film?
If so why not name your pup from one of your favorite characters or one he reminds you of-even if its a friends, relatives or a dog from the neighbourhood. These are also useful when thinking of a name for your new addition.

Do you want the name to have a meaning?
Many people like their dogs name to have a meaning, weather that be a name meaning; wilf, loyal, couragous, brave, playful, king ect. Try looking around on the internet for a few names, they always have good names there and interesting ones at that.

Here are a few I like, some just normal ones or ones I've heard and some from films;

Homeward Bound
-Chance
-Shadow
-Riley
-Bando/Bandit

Oliver and Company
-Dodger

Eight Below
-Max
-Jack
-Dewey
-Truman
-Shorty
-Shadow
-Buck

Walking With Dinosaurs (3D)
-Pachi
-Scowler

Here are a few I can think of off the top of my head:

-Tye
-Kye
-Bailey
-Bentley
-Tucker
-Lucky
-Rocky
-Benny
-Tyson
-Buster
-Harley
-Jake
-Patch
-Prince

There you go hackers just a few names I could think of! Once I get on update on what breed your canine is I'm sure I could suggest more names for you if you haven't already decided one from the fantastic ones floofs have already given. Good luck with your new pup and I'm sure he's great, congratulations on your new fur-buddy!
