Meshes Help~~Downloaded and not popping up
« on: February 17, 2014, 07:49:29 am »
Alright, so I am in the process of making my first map for my first owned mapped rp. I finished the height map and the mask. I am now at the point of putting up objects in the map. I downloaded some meshes and as far as I know I am doing it correctly. I do it the following way:

1) Click the green download button
2) Click Save File
3) Click the green arrow in the top corner to open the file. (Firefox)
4) Open Feralheart folder >> Media >> objects >> My_objects
5) Finally I drag the downloaded items to the My_objects.

Then it says I am done.

I went into the game after downloading a tone of meshes and only some of them showed up. (Not even half)

I hope someone can help.

You have to load the meshes manually in Object Maker. With every download the following files should be included:

- a .mesh file
- a .material file
- and the images/textures (.jpg or .png)

You need to open up Object Maker and go to the Mesh tab. There's a  box called Mesh and that is where you type in the .mesh file. Type in the name of the mesh file including all capital letters, symbols etc and remember to add the .mesh at the end. Once you type in the name click the Add New button and the mesh should appear.

Go back to the first tab and save it. Take note though, do not save it in the default groups such as MyTrees, Default, MyPlants etc. Create your own object group otherwise you may experience problems with your map later on.

If you have any more questions just let me know :)
Will be inactive due to work and exams.
