I completely understand your need to take a break, though it's great to hear that he is improving through the kemo!
All you can do really is pray. It's all in God's hands and timing, and trusting in Him is the best thing you can do right now.
I know for me at least, I will keep your grandfather in my prayers. I wish him well with recovery, and pray for God's blessing upon the situation.
