First time opening Feral Heart, But it just crashes?

It's my first time having a Feral Heart  ! But, when I try to open Feral Heart, It just shows nothing, and crashes. Only the "FeralHeart.exe has stopped working" message pops up. How do I get in?

This can be caused by many things:

- Make sure you're using an English keyboard and don't click any foreign symbols/letters.
- Make sure your connection is strong and try using FH as the only program open.
- Go into C: >>> Feralheart >> media > particles and delete any ending in _0, _1, and so on.
- Change your rendering system by doing this:

Method number 1~

First, go into C: > Feralheart. If you look at the FH main folder, you will see a flie called:
'orge.cfg'
Click it, and open it with 'NOTEPAD'.



Look at the first two lines in the orge.cfg file. That is where you change your rendering system.



If you followed everything that was typed and the instructions in the pictures, you should have successfully switched your rendering system.

Method number 2~

Turn on FH!
On the main screen, you will see this:



Click options, and go to video. Click 'Rendering System.'



Then just simply switch your rendering system.

Note that sometimes method 2 doesn't awlways work- That's why I listed the orge.cfg file first. ^^

If Alpha's solution didn't work, even though it probably did xD, there might also be another file on your computer interfering with the way FeralHeart works. Look all around in your computer, mostly in My Computer or wherever you have most of the programs on your computer installed, and look for any files that you think should be in the FeralHeart folder. Some of the files may have accidently been misplaced during installation. Or, just look for files in the FeralHeart folder that shouldn't be there and move / delete them, as Alpha said with the particles.

It is already set to what Alpha has for the orge.cfg file. Method 2 will also not work because i cannot turn on Feral Heart at all. What am i supposed to do? I want to play this so badly. It says some sort of file starting with d is missing?

Did you look at the picture clear enough? It says either put:

Render system=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem
[Direct3D9 Rendering System]

OR

Render System=OpenLG Rendering Subsystem
[OpenLG Rendering Subsystem]

Either one of those, oppositing to the one you have.
And may I have the full name of the missing file?
Is it something like Dxd.dll? (That's not a real file, just an example.) Look here for your file: Missing Files?

I found the name of the file, its called d3dx9_42.dll. That's what it says that prevents me from playing.
