Its alright bro here is some advice since I've been through surgery before:

-ALWAYS listen to what the doctor tells you for the awake part

-Think what good this will do for you in the long run

-Try to stay chill, if you freak out to much it can lead to other serious problems.

-Try to take your mind off the surgery for awhile until you get their, just try to keep chill and relaxed.

-Think about how useful the surgery is gonna be, its going to help you big time.

And that tis WIC's steps to outlasting a surgery, Good luck buddie

Well I haven't been at any surgeries. YAY. :D

Anyways, I'll try to give chu some adwise.

1. Be calm and think about the things you like.
2. When you get to the surgery table say this in you're own mind~ "Everything is going to be alright! Please let it be over soon!"
And maybe it will work! :)
3. Think about the good things and get the bad things out of you're mind.

If you need to talk anything out, PM me! ^.^

Good luck my friend! ^.^

I've been in surgery myself, and then I'm also a nurse so I've been around/taken care of a lot of people going into surgery as well. It's always easy for us that stand beside to tell the person actually doing the surgery to take it easy and not be scared. What I usually tell my patients is that it's also ok to be scared. The best you can do sometimes is to talk about it, and be honest with your fears - no one will or should look down on you for that.

The other forum members have given some good advice too, to look at the positive side of this surgery - what good it'll do for you and how things can become better.
Also it is important to listen to the doctor, but don't be afraid to ask about things you're wondering about.

Today surgery is both very common and advanced in a way that makes it safer and to make it easier for the patient to recover after the surgery (less trauma).

You will be fine. But as I said it's always ok to be scared too. We're all only human.
Good luck!

I never had surgery in my life. Heck, I haven't been to a doctor's office for years now, since the lack of insurance and money. The only operation I had that was closest to a surgery was stitches on my foot when I was like 8, which I barely remember about.

They will most likely knock you out so there is nothing to be afraid of. Doctors are professionals, so mistakes are very uncommon. Hope your surgery goes well!

I may need an operation on my back soon since I have horrible back problems and bad posture. I have been walking around with a back brace for the past two months and I am terrified, trust me. My doctor isn't very assuring but he is quite old... which is a good thing but I'm fearing a lot of things. My half brother who lives in the UK has had a knee reconstruction, and he came out fine. After a month or two he was fine and walking around like normal (my dog has recently had a knee construction too because he pulled a ligiment). All I'm saying is, stay strong floof c: It'll be over before you know it and you'll be out fine. Look forward to your future. Imagine not having this surgery and living the same way all your life. These are all my thoughts. Just remember, we're all here for you floof and we'll support you <3 +Floof
