Sugar Gliders

Up until today (5/11/2014) I did not know what sugar gliders were.

Apparently, they're my dream pet.

Sugar gliders are sort of this fluffy mix of a chinchilla and a gliding squirrel. Needless to say, sugar gliders can glide.

They're not native to where I love, but man, I'd love to live where they are (the one I "met" today was from Australia; she was named Sydney for, well, Sydney, Australia.)

Sugar gliders are really cute. Cute beyond description. I actually remember, from a long time ago, a Diego (Dora the Explorer's cousin, I guess) TV show. Sugar gliders were on one of them, and that's where my young interest in them stemmed. I was pretty much a baby at the time, but it was a long time ago.

Anyways, here's what a sugar glider looks like (lots of pictures, spoiler for your needs):

Don't tell me that isn't cute, because I will slap the man out of you and turn you into a little, crying girl. Or I will slap the sensible woman out of you. Or all of the above...

Well, the little sugar glider I met was so cute. She just curled up in the palm of my hand, and then spread out again. She ran up and down my arm before actually jumping off my arm and landing onto my other arm. She crawled up and down on that one, went on my shoulder, hid under my arm, and went around my back and up onto my shoulder. Then she decided to play with my curly hair.

Ladies and gentleman, I want a sugar glider as a pet. Even though the lady said that they took a lot of care, were nocturnal, and it was just a lot of work, and even though my parents are divorced and I wouldn't be able to take care of it that much,

I want a suger glider for a pet, and I'd love that thing to death. I'd take care of it so much it'd be actin' like it's spoiled.

Let me get this out there: this isn't a thread on arguments. It's just about sugar gliders. And how awesome they are. Don't judge.

These things are adorable! I remember seeing one in a documentary at one time but I had forgotten what they were called, would have never guessed Sugar Glider!
