fhw files crash my game!

Hello! I have had this issue for quite some time, and nothing has been able to help me thus far. So, I've finally come here. To give you a clear idea, this has happened on EVERY SINGLE ONE of my FeralHeart applications, on every laptop/computer I've used. I have installed and reinstalled the game countless times on countless PCs, and this still happens to me...

Every time I try to download a friend's map, or just ANY public map, the .fhw files crash my game.

"FeralHeart.exe has stopped working."

It shows up every darn time I try to log into a map with the .fhw intact. Now, the map works a-okay once I delete it, but that takes away from the immersion, and the morale. It honestly sucks, and I'm tired of having to listen to other people talking about the weather when I simply am not able to see it.

I am currently on a Sony VAIO PC, but I don't think any further system specs are going to be of much importance. If there's any solution, please let me know. Try to put your answer in simple terms, as well, please. I'm not the most tech-savvy person on this forum. Thanks~

.fhw? Are you sure you're putting the file/s in the right spot? Make sure that all .fhw files (and ONLY the .fhw files) are ending up in your sky folder (FeralHeart > Media > Sky) See if that helps

I have tried putting the .fwh files in both the exports folder and the sky folder, separately and together, which of course does nothing. :c

My advice would be for you to delete/remove the fhw. files. I do that when my game crashes. Helps a lot.

Can't say I know the solution but I can suggest the following...

- Ask the map maker if they can export the sky or weather directly from Sky Maker rather than using Map Maker.

- Make the weather/sky yourself. You could ask the map maker to give you the numbers for each of the R, G, B and coordinate boxes in Sky Maker for each time of the day and the weather. Save and export it and name it the exact same as the .fhw file in the download.

- You could ask for the .weather, .sky and .cycle files from the map maker. That'll allow you to open those files in Sky Maker as in the map, then you can do as I mentioned above about exporting and naming it the same.

These are the only ideas I have, not sure how else to fix the issue :\

I suggest you try all the suggestions, but this one is the one that usually works for me. <3
