Unable to 'Start' the Game?

Hello there! I need help playing Feral Heart... whenever I login in (logging in is successful), go to a character (anyone of them!), and click 'Start', the game freezes up and a new window pops up. The window says: 'Feralheart.exe isn't responding', and I'm ultimately forced to close the window no matter what I do. This happened after I downloaded a map (the required map for the Viridity Warriors RP), and I haven't been able to play FH since then.

Please note that I have tried the lag fixes included in the README document in the Map Download folder. I've deleted a few of the items in the document, but my FH still won't work. I've also deleted some excess maps in the Exports folder, so yeah. Can someone help please? If there isn't anyway to save my FH, is there a way to re-download it so that I'd have all of my friends, characters, groups, etc. Someone please help :c

Yeah, that happens sometimes. You just need to move your characters out of the broken map by using the Character Reset, choosing Reset Home, and then Go Home;

All you have to do if a character of yours gets stuck on any map is to use the character reset option on the top right of the forum by your log in info.

Try changing your rendering system, sometimes the game will crash if it is running the wrong rendering system, i'll link a tutorial below c:

Or, delete the FH folder entirely and re download the game. All of your characters and friends are stored on the server, not the game itself. You can also try resetting your character location as Ruby has suggested if it dosent help cx

I forgot to mention this but none of my characters had the chance to actually go onto the map. As soon as I finished downloading, I tried to play on my Warriors Character to test out the map, but as soon as I pressed 'Start', it froze and forced me to exit the game. I tried on all of my characters, and even created a new one, but I can't play no matter what. But I will try this though. I will also see to the rendering system.

Ah, if it's all your characters then it might be a particle issue.
If you look in C:\FeralHeart\media\particles and see any files that end in a _0, _1, etc, delete them, and then try again.

If nothing mentioned works, then I'm afraid reinstalling is your best bet.
Not to worry though, because as said, your characters, friends, and groups are saved on the server.
The only things you'll have to get back are maps, presets, and items, though you can back those up beforehand.

I've also tried the Rendering System, but when I did it with notebook, it wouldn't allow me to open the game at all. I also did it at the options, but that didn't work. I suppose I will have to reinstall, but thank you for helping!

EDIT: I would like to be sure I get the reinstalling process right. I do have to delete the main FH folder and re-download it?

Correct, just delete the folder and re-install the original setup.
