Feral Heart installed but not working?

Okay, so I decided I wanted to go back to play Feral Heart again (I had it before, but I uninstalled it) so I found a setup in my downloads folder. I installed the game, then the program it tells you to install also. I open up Feral Heart and it tells me that d3dx9_42.dll is missing. I go ahead and download it, putting it in the folder (the pc (Windows XP) was restarted at this point) and I double click the icon. Codes. Rendering subsystem. I click OK and black screen. Feral Heart closed. Any ideas? I really need help ;-; could it be because of this old PC? Old setup found in folder? Missing file that I downloaded later? thank you in advance xxx

I know I am a derp, and sadly this derp will let you know I barely understood you.
Though I will do my best to help you out anyway. From what it sounds like you are explaining is that there was something in your folder on your computer that had it's setup and everything. If I am wrong so totally correct me.
What I suggest you do..is attempt re-installing FH completely.
Go into you your Local Dick(C:) Folder, and get rid of your FH folder in there. Then uninstall the game once more. Once that is done I suggest to re-install it once more. If you had already done this before, and it still didn't help...then I am so sorry I was no help to chu floofy.. T^T
