That's quite odd. From your wording I'm going to guess that you've successfully downloaded them before? If so, is it possible that you perhaps missed a step this time? I know it's quite easy to forget one, I've done it multiple times x3 Id suggest going through once more and checking off each one as you go:
1) Download the file; open the .ZIP folder when it is finished downloading.
2) Place the "markings.cfg" file in your main FH folder; replace the current one.
3) Open up the "textures" folder in the downloaded file now; you'll see a ton of files. Just move them all to the Feral Heart>Media>Textures folder. Replace every pre-existing files.
4) Restart FH
The items one is rather similar:
1) Open the .zip folder after downloading. You will see an items.cfg file and an Items folder.
2) Place the items.cfg in the main FH folder.
3) Open the Items folder, copy and paste everything into Media > Items
4) Restart FH. Ta-da! Items.
