Downloaded Map not working.

This may be due to how the maps are actually filed, because this is because it is my sisters first map. Anyway Her main map works fine, however the gate in the main map does not work. When she exported the map she changed the map name incase something went wrong, did that ruin the gate? When she exported the files into a zip she included all the files for the secondary map, so what else is wrong?

Ah, yes, 'tis because she renamed it. Feral Heart is looking for a map now named whatever she changed it to. So just 'ave her change the name back to its original title and it should work fine.

As Enoki said, this is because of renaming the file. It's wrong, because the map that you made must stay with the same name.
