RotA -- Rise of the Ancients [ high ranks needed! ]

Starclan warned the clans of a danger they couldn't detect before it would arrive. When it did arrive, it wasn't a physical
being that could be killed in battle. It was a massive snowstorm that wouldn't stop for days on end, even if it was just
light flurries. Plant life was killed, as well prey and other essential resources. Snow is piled high and more than half of the
clan cats have been taken by the snow, but the leaders are holding strong- until Finchstar falls ill and the rest of the
clan loses hope. The snow refuses to melt, as the whiteout ended and it stopped snowing just as leaf-bare started.
The weather is cold and the snow is remaining, melting slowly. Leaf-bare has never been forgiving, and it spares
none, especially now.

Summary:
A prophecy is told to the clans, speaking of an enemy who cannot be stopped or detected. Nothing more was said,
no hints as to what it would be. As danger is normally associated with a solid being, patrols were sent out constantly,
and it wore the clans to exhaustion. When the enemy did arrive, it was too late. The massive snowstorm tore up the
terrain, froze everything, and took many lives. The clans began to adjust to the snow, even if it was tiring and food was
scarce. When a leader lose their final life, however, the clans became worried. As leaf-bare approaches, the snow has no
chance of melting. Its a fight of survival, and the clans got the short end of the stick.


[size=8]Welcome! If you've made it this far, I thank you for reading. Now, without further ado, here is a little info on RotA, or 'Rise of the Ancients!'
Now, you may be wondering why it's called 'Rise of the Ancients', if it's about a snowstorm.
To put it simply, one clan moved too close to a burial ground of their ancestors, and spirits are
involved in the plot. Though, this is the second part of the plot, and it will be released when the
time comes. This is not an ordinary warrior cat roleplay, and to some it may be a no-no. Since
the series is more for a younger audience, plots as mature as this would not be featured in the books.
As well as that, there are a few ideas that haven't been featured in the books and aren't canon. Some
people strictly stick to canon roleplays, but if you're okay with something a bit off, then this just
might interest you! Here are some things you can expect in this roleplay:
- Mature themes: violence, (minor) vulgar language, and a few 13+ themes
- Spirits, non-canon religions, and an entirely different culture from canon
- A few new ranks: priest, being one
- Non-canon names: nothing too off, however.
- Altered warrior code
And many more! We are soon to be mapped, as our map-maker is currently in the process of making it.
We hope to have it done before, or even by Halloween (October 30th, if you don't celebrate it).
RotA is considerably new, and sited! We hope to be active, and the higher the rank, the more active
you must be. As for literacy, we are literate; good grammar, spelling, and please be descriptive! Remember,

rank, clan, a few words for their personality, and anything else you feel necessary! Lastly, please read all of
the rules, as I will only briefly add them here.[/size]


[size=8]1. Of course, be kind and respectful to everyone, no matter their rank (OOC).
2. OOC chat should be kept in group or a chat that isn't being roleplayed in. Side comments should
be put in brackets and conversations shouldn't be happening in the middle of roleplay.
3. Please, don't postcut; postcutting is when someone is continuing their post and you
reply before they finish their post.
4. Please, do not fight OOC. If it gets out of hand, it becomes a warning and a mod for the roleplay
will step in.
5. Please uninstall the map and do not give out the map password if you are kicked from the
roleplay.
6. Considering this is a mature roleplay, I would appreciate if you acted so.
7. Please no matebegging or anything similar. And, no mary/gary-sues, powerplayers, etc.
8. Realistic characters, please. No neon pelts or bright purple eyes. Their eyes may "have a
pinkish tint", but please don't take advantage of this. Also, certain items are allowed.
9. Stick to the plot. Don't base it around romance or forbidden friendships, etc.
10. If you are deciding to quit, please kill off your characters somehow. Considering what the
plot is, that shouldn't be too hard.
11. During battles, there are only 5 misses. Also, this roleplay is based around violence and death,
really. So don't get butthurt if your character gets injured a lot.
12. I'm probably missing some, so just make sure you read all of the rules on the site if you plan on

Nothing will be optional, and you can add whatever you'd like to the form. Either post them here or send it to me through a message, please! Also, the form can be modified.

The Ancients are going to be on the down low for a while. A few things will happen with them, but until the second
part of the plot is introduced, they aren't going to be rping! So if you'd like to be in Sunkenstar's clan, you can still
join, but you might want to consider joining another clan for the time being, and possibly killing off the character
once they are introduced - or even keep that character! Just make sure you decide which you are going to actively
be a member of, more so than the other.
So, the important info will also be introduced when the clan is. What needs to be known right now is that there are
only two specific ranks - leader and second-in-command. An audition can be placed for the second-in-command,
but other than that there is nothing that needs to be auditioned for - though a roleplay sample is still needed. On
another note, please consider these cats have certain limitations and should be talked about with Sunkenstar/Vy.
I am unsure how much they want their roleplayers to know just yet ; ^ )
