Making Music Files?
« on: November 18, 2015, 11:24:59 am »
Does anyone know how to make music packs of your own and then put them into your game? I didn't see a tutorial for it and I can't imagine it being very hard. I need it to go into a map I am making. Is it different steps than just putting it into FH?

You can just go into your FH>media>music folder and replace the mp3 files that are there (plains1, plains2, plains3, etc.) or you can put different files in any FH folder(though music is recommended of course), then go into your music.cfg and add/replace the other music with the music files that have different names. The layout of the cfg shouldn't be that hard to copy but I'll explain it to you if you need it.

Always remember to back up your files if you don't like your mod!

It's not difficult. You just need to make a name for you playlist and add the info to your music.cfg file.
For Example, lets use a playlist called 'Crossroads' ..This is how it would need to be set up:

[Title]
media/music/title.mp3
[Plains]
media/music/plains1.mp3
media/music/plains2.mp3
media/music/plains3.mp3
[Caves]
media/music/caves1.mp3
media/music/caves2.mp3
[Crossroads]
media/music/Crossroads01.mp3
media/music/Crossroads02.mp3

Write the playlist name between brackets [Crossroads]
Then add the location: media/music/
Then the name of the track: Crossroads01.mp3
Repeat until all tracks are added and save.
Then in map maker, just type the name of your playlist ;)

Since this appears to have been answered, I'll lock up this topic. Good luck with your music for your map! c:
