Regarding the new public maps
« on: June 18, 2016, 02:49:39 am »
Will we be seeing the revamp or return of any cold climate maps like the south pole? My most active character being an arctic fox has found not really a place where I can go set him down while I half work half look at the game, my second most active being a great lake wolf commonly found in cold climates such as Canada.

It's a small annoyance, but I wanted to be informed on if we'd see a tundra or boreal landscape any time soon.

Not quite sure yet, although it would be a wonderful idea for a later update!

Last I heard, some floof was going to remake the south pole, but include dens and such. A lovely idea but keep a look out for that c:

I've heard that cold/winter/snowy maps are confirmed. Either way, there are still going to be new maps, and I'm sure at some point a snow themed map will be among them.

Good to know, thanks.

On a side note, I've noticed that water in the mapping appears to no longer be based on the Z-Axis. This can best be seen in the elevated bodies of water in the new Canyon. I'm wondering if that's always been the case or if this is part of the update. Pretty good stuff though to see it in the public maps.

Snowy maps were indeed confirmed. It would be nice for a South Pole remake, however.
