All Black Characters & No Items Showing (how many issues am I gonna get?)

Now with one solved, a new issue popped up, entirely black characters with 0 items.
Each time I try to select an item, the list is entirely empty and attempts to add colors (except for presets) onto a character just keeps them jet black.
Anyone know how to solve this issue? Do I need something to help make my mods work? *I do have mass markings & legendary markings, claws, tail, & ear mods.*

It could be your fur texture you're using, or you'e removed a file entirely, so I would re install the game or somehow get the default textures and masks redownloaded. As for markings and items, be sure you've put the files in the correct folder and replaced the .cfg in the main FH folder.

I don't think a re-installation would be necessary (yet). Some of the user-created mods are having trouble with the new update and can cause some issues. More about that here.
Try uninstalling the claw/ear/tail mods. It's likely just part of the 1.17 bugs.
