I remember having the same problem when I first got FH. I'd download it, go into game, to have OBSCENE things to greet me, pulled and stretched models F.U.B.A.R.
I didn't GET the "oh, you have to uninstall FH and reinstall it." I just downloaded the patch, executed it, and then all hell broke loose, kept my poker-face and uninstalled, knowing that something's messed up, and I should just start fresh before twisting the rat's nest.
I did that, and since the page said I shouldn't need to get the new patch, I started up, and it flipped an endtable. I then go into my torrents and use the old .03 patch. that screwed it up, too.
so I uninstall again, this time going right to the new patch and skipping all bull. I then open up my game, and lo and behold the nostalgic sight of my first time opening FH. although, this time with lots of water. so, knowing that I MUST be missing something to get the game working, I go and download the Map Pack. which screws all time lines and brings be back to the first version of FH (not IT).
tl;dr: I'm the lazy, granted, but take the damn time to read the question and what I've done.
can anyone get a Tutorial up in here?
