Huge Map Problem
« on: August 08, 2011, 12:43:03 pm »
I had this problem before but I thought it was related to uninstalling. This is the second time I have asked for help and the last thread was just left hanging so I decided to ask again. I was working on this huge map for my pack yesterday and it worked completely find until this morning it said "cannot find ____terrain.cgf file." Last time I believed it was because I uninstalled but it really isn't. When I go into terrains and look into the map file... the terrain.cgf is still there. How do I get my FeralHeart game to read this?

NOTE: It is not an ogre exception. It is in a box that resembles the "bad token" box.

Hmm, I'm not exactly sure, but save often and try exporting right when you place atleast one object in the map.

also u could make a back up copy of your map when u save the map for example

Black Mountains map ................. BMM back up................Black Mountains map BU something like thanks you save it twice so if you lose one map u always got the other and if you dont want the portal in cape for both maps go into Cdrive>FeralHeart>terrains> look for like a star thing (it stands for a portal)  with the back up map name after it, make a new folder in terrains and just move the back up copy into that new folder i got about 15 map portals that i dont normaly use in a forlder so if i ever need it i always have the portal ..... but it will romove the map portal from cape but u can put it baack when ever u want and the portal will move back into cape its better then having to delete your portals XX hope it helps -Adjazz- XX
