Character collision

Why can we walk through eachother?
we should be able to  stand on eachother and bump into eachother
instead of being able to go right through eachother like ghosts.

  Just imagine this, ina  crowded area *Shudders*

  Walking through each others characters makes things a little easier, say there are a bunch of people blocking your way, just walk right through them.

you shoulsd be able to turn it off and on, and if there was a heap of ppl blocking your way you could just block them and walk off.

making a good and accurate collision of the meshes is probably not the easiest thing, and in the end, it would probably just be like a safe zone around a character position that no one walk through or up against, this wouldn't be like real collisions in my eyes and I'd rather have it as it is now.

Ofcourse this is is arguable depending on how hard it is to make and how well it would represent real collisions, but my guesses it wont be that good.
