"Tch," Karma rolled her eyes at Xander's comment, if it were up to her they'd tie Vanth to a tree and leave her there. ((It's Karma, I'm sorry Abby! D: She'll loosen up eventually! XD)) Still, at the last comment Karma slowly glanced at the male, brows lowered lightly at the sudden change of tone. "Mmph," the silvered female hummed in slight agreement, though suspiciously. Thankfully her brother was going to be with him, hopefully Dusk will be able to talk some sense into Xander while their out getting supplies.
Dusk waited for Xander to get close, then led him through the trees. As soon as they passed the fist wall of the foliage, the group was out of sight. The observation made him tense, and he quickened his pace a bit. "How do you mean?" he asked the male, quickly heightening his senses. Never doubt your own or another's instincts, even if there's a possibility they're being paranoid or dramatic. There were a few times he did so and lived to regret it.
When the two males were out of sight, Karma decided she had soaked in the water long enough. Padding to the edge, she brought herself out, half expecting a cool breeze to chill her body and sting her wounds. Of course, none came, and the she wolf even felt disappointed. Shaking out her pelt was out of the question, the stubborn wound barely allowed movement of her head. The soak softened it a bit, however, and feeling began to return to the area. She couldn't see it or care for it, but if she guessed correctly the now tenderized dead skin may have peeled a bit and a new flow of blood was oozing out. Not as bad as it was before, of course, and it'll dry up as soon as her pelt does.
Stomach rumbling, Karma reluctantly came and took a hunk of meat from the deer carcass, bringing it back near the bank and lowering her form. Once comfortable, she dug in her meal, the meat a little cold with the freezing of time but still edible. Even so, the fur on the back of Karma's nape stood on end, and the wolf began to feel edgy. Raising her eyes, she caught Vanth staring back at her.
"Is something wrong?" she asked the female, ears bent back and eyes narrowing slightly, not really liking being stared at. Lowering her muzzle to return to her meal, electric-blue irises flickered over to the white-furred male. "What's wrong, Lorcan?" she asked a bit curiously, swallowing down another bite. "You seem really distant."
