First of all, thank God I'm not the only one with this problem.
I have no issues /downloading/ either the patch or the actual game, but when I try to install them, I keep getting the same message:
"An error occurred while trying to rename a file in the destination directory:
MoveFile failed; code 183.
Cannot create a file when that file already exists."
This first happened when I tried to install the patch, so when that didn't work, I uninstalled the entire game and deleted all of its files as Eliza did. However, when I tried installing the updated game itself, I got the same message.
So right now, I'm without the game and at a lack of knowledge as to how to fix it. x_x;
Okay, so we kind of have the same problem. I can't delete some files eitehr but I manage to download the game over them and everything gets cleared. I don't really trust the game with patches anymore though I still try because I have some hope left. But honestly, I don't want to keep uninstalling, deleting, and reinstalling every time there is a new patch. I dread seeing what happens when I try to load the game after downloading the most recent patch, and the results are always the same, the game just poofs, no warning. It gets to the point where its the black screen, but then the whole thing shuts down on its own unless I repeat the grueling process that takes up to an hour or more to get the game to work again. Again, I like the new patches, but sometimes I feel it isn't worth it for the work I go through to get them to work. I am honestly pretty happy I am not alone on this one.
