Rain being the closest saw what was happening, and dove right in time his paw protecting Shasta's fragile head as she fell apon, he quickly checked for any broken bones and sniffed. "She's lucky" Rain said and began to tear a deer pelt in pieces, he then dug a shalow hole, and placed a piece of deer pelt into it andd laid the small STILL alive shasta inside, and carefully rolled up a piece of deerskin and placed it under shasta's head as a pillow, then he covered her with another small piece. "She wil be fine, just find something that is carriable and has a hole in it that shasta can lay in with the deer pelt slices"
Samson watched in shock as Rain dove to safe Shasta "Uhhhh" Was all he could say.
Shasta cried and cried as she was covered up to her chin with the deer pelts. She was scared, and di not understand what happened. She hurt a bit on her sides. "Momma! Momma! Momma!" She cried, her tiny paws flailing, as she tried to get to mommy, but the deerpelts kept her warm and comppfy and she couldn't get out the ditch that made sure she wouldn't move in case of injury.
