Ginger looked at the new female and saw something odd in her eyes. She knew something was fishy. Ginger stared at the wolf "Dawn... I think you should call out all your strongest warriors and run the unwelcomed guests out of your territory." she said with no emotion like she was thinking. She felt like someone in the den (Akeila) was going to betray them. "Before one of our members decides to lead them and destroy us." she thought maybe the new wolf was thinking to join the unwelcomed pack, lead them to fight for our territory.

The pup flickered her short tail in her sleep.

Akeila gasped, hurt by the other she-wolf's statement. They thought she was going to join the free-loaders and rebel.  She would never do such a thing, even the thought gave her shivers.  The she-wolf who seemed to be the leader, had helped her; why in the world would she ever betray someone who had helped her.  Staring the new she-wolf in the eyes, she spoke, "I would never do such a thing. TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. Thats my philosophy."  Turning around, she exited the den.

Emerging from the darkness, she shivered.  A snort/sigh escaping from her dry throat.

She walked after the female , "Sorry, it's just I wasnt raised like that. My parents told me, treat us with respect and we will treat you like a skunk bag in return." she sighed sadly. "I'm really sorry." she lowered her head and walked out to a pond, sitting alone.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been such a drama queen. I would blame it on hormones but that's not a real good excuse." She smiled. She approached the she-wolf, as she advanced towards a pond. "You mind?" she said sitting next to her.  The wish, the hope, the longing of one day becoming alpha scratched at her soul, edging claw marks down her heart.

Dipping a paw into the water, it caused a ripple effect, distorting their once perfectly clear reflections.

The female looked at her with a smile "Don't mind at all." she wagged her tail as her grey pelt glistened. Ginger also dipped her two front paws in the icy cold water. She lowered her head and lapped up the water, the water rippled as her long, soft toungeapped at it. She flickered her ear, her eyes peaked at the other she-wolf.

"Follow me." he said walking towards a dark, den. "I'll tell you in here, I just don't want anyone to here. Even though it may be obvious." he said walking into the den. He went into the corner of the den and turned around facing her, he sat down.

Akeila smiled, she searched her brain, searching desperately for a conversation starter.  "Um... So, you have a mate? Sorry, if I'm crossing boundaries." As she said this, she tucked her tail in, acknowledging the fact, that her tail was still flying free in the breeze.  I hate being in heat.. she thought to herself, you finally get noticed by boys but their usually jerks that like getting drunk on the sweet scent of heat.  She sighed.
She stared into the water, hallucinating the image of her mother beside her.  She never had a mother, never had that motherly-figure. Her mother was too busy with her siblings.  To notice Akeila as she struggled through life.  She never got to experience those one on one times--the special moments where you talk about boys--the times her sisters talked so fondly of.  She never even knew how to approach a boy confidently; too shy and oblivious of the ways of she-wolves.  She stared down at her reflection, as a tear rolled down her cheek; stupid she thought... "your not even close to being a proper she-wolf... the way your mother was; your a disappointment and a disgrace". It was no longer her voice she heard, but her father's, it bellowed and boomed, echoing in her brain.

She looked back at the water. "Oh, I don't have one yet. But these boys seem that they can't keep there paws off of us." she smiled chuckling. "No don't worry, I am happy to share these things with a lovely wolf like you " she wagged her tail looking at Akeila. "Is anything wrong?" she asked, seeing the tear roll down her cheek. Ginger walked out of the water closer to Akeila, licking the the tear off of her cheek. She sat down next to the she-wolf.

(Can I be like Akeila's bffl, Ginger can teach everything to Akeila that her family didn't teach/talk to her about. :D )
