Foxes of Kero Island

The Foxes of Kero Island all live on Kero Island, since the place seems like a promising place for them to live. The first challenge is to survive almost everything on the island, including wild animals, wild dogs, a farmer who is protective of his livestock, and his guard dogs that do their jobs by herding up the animals, and at night, guarding the farm and the house.

Plot

The warm season of summer has arrived, and the farm is having more baby animals, which means that the foxes can possibly hunt the baby animals down, next to the game in the forest. However, this is a dangerous job now, that the farm dogs are spending more time outside, guarding the farm animals from predators like foxes, wolves, and coyotes. If the foxes are to steal the livestock, they must be cautious, or bring another fox to either distract the dogs, or to help them hunt when the dogs aren't looking. Also since the season of summer is beginning, it is beginning to rain more often, so the Foxes' dens are possibly going to flood if the rain keeps pouring down from the skies.

Kero Island - A forest-like island. The very edges of the island, such as the areas near the water, have sand on them. Kero Island's grass is usually very green because of the soil and the rain, but in winter, you can hardly see the green grass unless it hasn't been snowing. Also in late summer, if it is a ceremony or something related, the whole skulk of the foxes get to sleep under the stars, and some younger foxes may get to get a first glance of fireflies.
Firwood Farm - Firwood Farm is the main farm that settles on Kero Island. It is about seven miles away from the Foxes' den. Most parts of the farm are made of wood. The human farmer usually rests in the house he lives in, but when he comes out, usually, all of the foxes dart back to their home. Sometimes the foxes can see him sitting on his porch, stroking his hand through one of his guard dogs' fur. Though if the foxes go to hunt at his farm, the first thing they have to be aware of is the farmer's guard dogs. The dogs are usually almost any guard dog or working dog, though most of the time, the dogs are usually both. Second is the farmer himself. He'll usually shout and jeer at the foxes or other animals that trespass on his farm to scare them off.
Demu Cave - The home of the foxes underground. It is more of a burrow, but slightly like a cave, so it was named Demu Cave. The burrow/cave has a small pool that the foxes and drink and play in. The Demu Cave also serves as a safehouse for members if war comes.

Ceremonies

The ceremonies are just ceremonial holidays that the Foxes celebrate in certain times of the year. But if you're a trainee and a ceremony comes, you still have to be taught by your mentor unless the leader says it's okay to not be taught by your mentor.

Arrival of a New One -  The Arrival of a New One is the arrival of another fox. No, I don't mean a birth. I mean that when a rogue or loner is accepted into the group.
Birth - The Birth ceremony is when a female fox gives birth to their kits. The leader will announce their arrival to the skulk. When the kits are almost at the age of a trainee is, the female foxes move back to to their normal rank, since when the vixens are pregnant, they are moved to the rank mothers.
Summer Warmth - Summer Warmth is the ceremony of when summer arrives. It starts at the beginning of summer, and ends the next day. In the middle of summer, the ceremony comes back, but only lasts for a day. In this ceremony, the whole group sleeps outside under the stars, and some get to get a first glance of fireflies floating in the sky.

Ranks

Leader - The highest-ranking foxes of the skulk. They make orders and pretty much everything else that's important, like announcements, battles, ceremonies, and meetings. Usually, they are male and female foxes.
Deputy - The second-in-command fox. They can be either gender. They also make announcements, and they give important news to the leaders.
General - The third-in-command fox. They are usually males, but a headstrong or tomboy female fox can be this rank. They lead the warrior foxes in battles with rival fox skulks.
Warriors - The warriors of the skulk are usually the strong foxes that go into battles. The general leads them into battle. Foxes can be either gender to receive this rank. They also help hunters and scouts with their hunting trips.
Scouts - Mostly known as spies. Foxes can be either gender for this rank. They are foxes that are quick, silent, and light on their feet. Sometimes in battles, they can be allowed in battle to tell the warriors where their enemies are. In hunting trips, they go ahead in front of the warriors and hunters to tell them where to find good prey.
Healers - The healers are the foxes of the skulk that tend to the sick and injured. They also gather herbs so that they can heal the sick and injured foxes. Foxes of this rank can be either gender.
Mentors - The mentors are the foxes that teach trainees how to do their chosen rank. The foxes of this rank can be either rank.
Mothers - The pregnant foxes of the skulk. They care for fox kits and usually take care of their own kits. When their kits are almost to the rank of trainees are, the mothers are moved back to their original rank they were before they were mothers.
Trainees - The nine-month old kits of the skulk. Any kit under nine months old are just kits. They are taught by their mentors for their chosen rank; the ranks the trainees can pick are warrior, healer, or scout.
Kits - The kits under nine months of the skulk are cared by their mothers until they are nine months old.

Rules

Out of Role-play Rules

1. No fighting out of role-play. You can fight in role-play, but I absolutely do not want to see fighting out of role-play. You will be given a warning if you do.
2. No explicit swears. Mild swears are okay, but no explicit swears. You will be given a warning and/or be kicked temporarily.
3. Don't share your personal stuff, like your phone number, but I doubt this will happen.
4. No abusing the actions.
5. If you want to be treated right, treat others right.
6. If you are going to be inactive, please tell me, and I will put you on excused for absence.
7. IMPORTANT!!: Role-play days are usually Friday to Sunday unless the role-play has to be held on another day, or if I'm doing homework. You don't have to be there all day. The time for the role-play days can be from 4:30 to 5:00. Unofficial role-plays can be held by the members as long as they tell us on the forum what happened in role-play.
8. Do not make your fox unrealistic colors. You can have a funny color for your eyes though. Want a red fox with purple eyes? Knock yourself out.
9. Literate role-playing is a must. Even in unofficial role-plays.
10. Fun is a must.

Laws of the Foxes

1. Obey your leader's words, and the laws. Disobeying this rule will lead to banishment.
2. Respect all foxes in the skulk, even if it is a blind elder.
3. All foxes except for newborn kits must attend meetings.
4. Do not go to the farm unless the human is inside his cabin, or unless you have at least three other foxes with you to help you.
5. Do not attack the dogs or the farmer. There is a great chance you will get killed.
6. Betrayal will lead to banishment.

Kuro is a fun-loving fox. He loves his skulk like family, and will do almost anything for them. He is calm and laid-back most of the time, but at serious times, he's more mature. However, he dislikes it when a fox thinks he's a female because of the colors around his eyes. If you do call him a female, he may just snap at you! He is also very happy when he sees kits playing, and hopes to have some of his own.
Kuro's dad was named Douglas, and his mother's name was Jay. He has three other brothers and a sister, but they all live in another area. Douglas and Jay died of an encounter with an angry wolf.

If that technique doesn't work, he chases the foxes. He tries to make friends the best he can, usually, though most of the time, he's unsocial.
He was recently adopted by the farmer. Pretty much it.

O.O This seems like a very interesting rp (I love foxes), but the title sounds a lot like my Foxes of Oni Island.., and 'kero' means 'ribbit' in Japanese.

Other than that, this seems like a really interesting rp that I bet I would really want to join in-game! I want to sign up C: Only problem...I'm currently banned and cannot get on the game, so I can't take a Screenshot of my character, so for right now could you settle for the rest and on Wednesday I could send in a screenshot of my fox?

Suddenly something burst out of the shadows and lunged at her, but she pinned it down-then recognised the scent of her attacker.

Well, I was basically brain-dead and wanted to make a name for it, and Foxes of Kero Island seemed like a good name to me.
Kero means ribbit in Japanese? Whoops. Well, I did like how Kero was spelled, but I never realized it meant something. Anyways, accepted, Kitsune. ^.^

Also, I really like the fox's name-Kuro? That means 'black' in Japanese.
