Adding New Weather
« on: February 29, 2012, 02:44:04 am »
Hello,

I've been making new maps, and messing around with the weather, and I realized that you could create new weather. I decided to test this with the Star Aura, but, after trying several things, I still can't get the Star Aura to appear.

I have the particle, material, and png image in Particles.

I have the material and png image in sky, I can't put the particle image in there, or else Feral Heart won't open. ^.^' I'm not sure if that's the problem, and I don't think it is.

I also tried to make a weather file, but I don't know what in blazes the code would look like. I fail with codes...

When I type in StarAura in the weather section of Map Making, Feral Heart claims to find it, but I never see the stars. Are there any weather experts here that can explain this to me? This is completely new to me, so I'm a little *cough* A lot *cough* lost.

Thank you to everyone that helps. :D

Well the staraura image is very small, i tried myself making it a weather. The staraura is also a ring, its different to the movement and shape of the rain and snow particle.
The staraura is there but its either to small to be seen or (like some particles) its only in a certain area of the sky.

Maybe try making a copy of the the image and making the copied image larger. Make sure you move the original image outside the FH folder and call the copied image star (like the original image).
Will be inactive due to work and exams.

I figured it out. I had to mess with one of the weather material folders so that it used the files I want. Thanks though.
