I guess it really also depends on where you live and the weather/climate there. I used to live in a place that was really cold in winter, my mums pot plants had to be inside to keep warm. The pansies were the only things that could survive the cold. We went on holiday for about a month and when we came back the grass was taller and that was about it.

Then you shouldn't plant those plants there if you're trying to make it the way nature intended? Plants can not survive where they are meant to survive, in a end of the world scenario, it would be better to let things run their course. Don't want animals in areas where there isn't the right plant life to support them. So unless you really know what you are doing and how to get a ecosystem started, it would probably be best for it to be left be for nature to rebuild.

And just because a house still has a door and windows doesn't mean it is inaccessible. Birds use buildings to nest in, mice live in the walls, CATS live in walls sometimes XDDD I'm just saying, they make a good shelter for animal life.

The grass was taller and that was about it, the grass was the only thing that grew. Lots of people grow plants out in the front of their yard and in pots. They live very well in the summer, spring and autumn. You shouldnt not plant them there because of the winter, if thats what your saying.

Planting the local plants which are found in that area and all over the country might not be so much as a threat.

For the buildings, it depends what building type it is. Some houses just have a flat surface, no roof. The walls might not even be hollow. Brick or cemented walls can be tough to get into.

I'm stopping the debate about plants right here. I don't want it to get serious. I understand that planting is a good idea and even though global warming has stopped increasing, there is still global warming, so it is a good idea to give a boost to plants.

    It's also a good idea to let plants just grow on their own as well-it would be much easier and it would let nature go through its natural course without planting any un-local/un-native plants (for lack of a better term).

Yeah, enough about plants. This topic is supposed to be about peoples "choices" in this situation, thats how i would put it.

As much as i would want to live in my "stolen" house, i think it would be pretty cool to live in a tree ^^

Clone everyone I kept dearest to me.
Clone the maker of FeralHeart. ((XD))
Throw everyone ((Except the FeralHeart maker, that person needs to live to have FeralHeart o3o)) on a boat in the ocean and where ever they go they go...
After I don't know where anyone is and all the buildings are rotted and such, and Nature is reclaiming the cities, I'd start a search for life with a radio.
Then I'd begin to go through all the rotten buildings, take the valuables, and bury all the dead people with the valuables and then do whatever I'd want until I re~populate the Earth completely. ((After making some minions))

16. BBB - Befriend Black Bears, the single most risky program to be lead by the last human being on earth. I would make it a success.
17. Melt down the glass in every Eco-Friendly lightbulb into the Eco-Friendly shape known as maple leaves.
18. Create a clothing syndicate known as SWAN (Socks Worship Animalia Nation)
19. Make up my own pointless mythology.
20. If I ever manage to walk to the now desolate New York City: head to the most cluttered street and run over the tops of cars in rapid succession all the way to the end, then go raid the nearest StarBucks.
21. Mouse traps will be cats, but cockroach repellant will still be cleaning surprise...until I run out.
22. Somehow relocate wolves to my area to control the deer population that registered hunters were once responsible for. I highly doubt coyotes can manage it on their own, even when there's only me to avoid.
23. The first group of hamster balls that I find will have the numbers 1-8 painted on them. Every next discovery will have various country flag symbols or language characters to teach me how to count in that language. It would also help me keep track of which hamster symbolizes which Hetalia character.
24. The 'worldwide' bird will be the Kiwi.
25. The 'worldwide' flag will be a blue, plaid shirt.
