FeralHeart isn't letting me get on Map Maker, or anything really, and just stops working at the black screen.

Black screen? As in right after you've opened the game? Try changing your rendering system manually.

If that wont work, try re-installing.

okay. Do I have to make copies of all my old files or will it be in a separate folder?

I'm not sure what you're asking. xD Do you mean your maps, presets, objects, and other alike?
If so, then I recommend you back them up, if you don't want to lose them.
