Saturday RoleplayA normal, sunny, cloudless day turns into a terrible nightmare, needless to say. Mist-Stalker Reno is sitting outside the Medics' den, suffering over his injuries that are still paining him, when Cub Alex shows up to confess that his plans for fun have all been used up. After a short conversation concerning things the male cub can do to amuse himself, Alex abruptly runs off to go jump off some more den tops, leaving Reno to watch him, anxiously hoping the kid won't hurt himself. Just then, Master Medic Katarina comes out, and her and Reno discuss cubs and, more precisely, when they were cubs. Meanwhile, Garland Tacticus of Storm Meter is still on the prowl when he finds a secret entry in the village wall, and using it, he attempts to scope out Reno, whom he dubs "Spots" for the time. In the end, he concludes that he'd be better off hunting down the leader of Crescent Miles first, though he can't figure out who's who in the tribe. Alex comes back to Reno and Kat to explain that he got bored again, but not before sensing Gar. He leaves the village promptly afterwards to find something else to do, unknown to Kat and Reno. Unluckily, he runs straight into Nariea, another Sub hyena in Storm Meter. She immediately begins picking on him at first sight, and he gets a mild injury. From a distance, Trainee Chyanna picks up on the sound of the screams in her session of sulking moodily for her lost family. She quickly comes to Alex's rescue, dropping the pendant around her neck on the way there. A bloody fight starts to ensue between her and Nariea, and Garland soon takes notice after finding Chy's pendant and following her scent. He hides, however, as he knows Nariea will recongnize him and his cover will be blown. While the two fight, Alex manages to run back to the village where he gets help. Katarina, not knowing what else to do but follow after gathering some herbs together, lets him lead her to the scene. Reno follows the two of them, despite the wound in between his shoulder blades. Even Cyanide, the little, clumsy hyena cub from the enemy's side of the lines, shows up to hide behind Kat's leg and watch in horror. Kat rams into Nariea out of anger, trying to treat Chy's wounds, but Nariea is not fazed. She grabs Chyanna and puts her on her back, running off with her in order to take her back to Storm Meter. She presumably plans to kill the young cheetah, but not without torturing some answers out of her first. They are followed by Gar, who then realizes that Reno saw him, and he is unable to do anything but leave before he does something noticably suspicious. Nariea is licking Chy's gored up wounds to keep her alive a little longer when she comes to a stop and takes cover, and Garland soon shows up to prompt her about what she plans to do with the cheetah. Back, nearer to the village, Reno softly asks an angry and terrified Alex if he can walk back home, to which the cub yells in response and runs away from the Mist-Stalker to be alone atop the nearest boulder. Reno follows him, and Alex simply makes clear that if they want him to come home, they'll need to carry him because he refuses to move. Kat, now impatient with the cub and shaken up from being inches away from the fight, pins the cub down and picks him up before he can protest. Cyanide picks up the herbs brought on Kat's orders, and the four of them return home, luckily none of them badly to not at all injured.
