Shanira yelped when she was picked up and carried back to the den, he sat he down and they began whispering to each other. Shanira tilted her head until they both looked at her "Would you like to be our cub?" she really wanted to but she knew she couldn't "I..Can't..." she looked outside "They will be coming anytime now! I gotta go! Or they will kill you too!" she whimpered, she stood up and ran from the den, away from her friends "If they die it's all my fault." she growled as she ran through the grass. Behind her she could hear heavy pawsteps of the lionesses and their menacing laughs and growls of anger. She took a deep breath and began the run of her life.

Shanira came to a stop, she looked over at the ocean's blue water, and out in the distance she saw an island "There, my father always said it was peaceful there, only the kindness of souls were able to get there." she took a deep breath before stepping into the warm waters and began swimming, the salt water splashed over her head. She could hear the lions a few miles away and she knew Carmelita and Marcio were coming for her, but she didn't care "That lion deserved it, maybe one day I will be able to tell Carmelita and Marcio what he really did to me."

Shanira hissed fiercely "Get away!" she batted at his face with her claws, she didn't believe a single word her said, he could be just trying to get her to go back where they would finish her. "She kicked him away and paddled faster, as she got closer she saw a figure, no two figures..Cheetahs. "Mom? Dad?" Her parents smiled at her as she swam to them, a the corner of her eye she saw more cheetahs going into the ocean to keep the male away from the island, their ghostly figures floating over the water. "Mom! What are they doing?" she looked as they floated over Marcio and pushed him back towards the beach. "Are they going to hurt him?" "Oh no! They are only keeping him away from the island." Shanira looked back and watched the cheetahs come back, was this where all the souls went when they died?
