a way to add new manes/tufts. . ?

I may be entirely wrong here, but would it be possible to actually add them as manes/tufts? The person with the claw mod did something similar, I think.

I'm using the default mane texture for now, but AC3D  sucks when it comes to texturing lol

I'll do what I can as far as making it look good- just not sure how to format it so it's  a texture is all XD
