A Standing Chance (Realistic Wolf RP)

Maska waited until Abyss was safely across before hopping up all the way onto the dam. Koda curled his mud-caked forepaws up close to his face, whining as he watched the rushing water to the side of the wooden dam. Trotting, he gracefully stepped over the jutting wooden planks, easily picking his way across the sturdy natural bridge.

     Abyss hopped back onto the dam to make sure the heavier two were able to cross safely.
     Li allowed Amu to go first, because he had two extra lives to watch over, other than his own. He stepped with cat-like paws, and practically tiptoed along the dam. He bowed to Abyss as he passed, then jumped down.
     The timber wolf finally jumped up as well. He stepped, making the dam creak under his weight. He yelped lightly as he crow-hopped towards Abyss, making a log under her roll a little.
     "Careful...!" She snapped, crouching to keep from falling. "Tread lightly and carefully... Don't rush! You're the heaviest, other than Aku..."
     Li slowly made his way across, making sure he didn't hit another log with his weight. He cleared his throat as he finally jumped down.

Zanu nodded as the rest of them made heir way along.
"Everyone here?" He asked, scanning through everyone, checking.
"Check how far away those infected are" He muttered to Khar, who immediately took flight, gliding over to where the trail they had been following was. He soon returned.
"Very close, they are just getting to the river now." He reported with a ruffle of his dark red wings.

Maska let Koda drop out of his jaws, raising his head back up to watch as the others crossed. He stiffened as two almost toppled over, growling slightly in anxiety. Letting his muscles relax now that everyone was across, he glanced over his shoulder at Zanu. "The scent of those infected freaks is getting stronger." He growled impatiently, flicking his tail as he awaited for their next course of action.

   Abyss nodded as she sprinted towards the dead tree, jumped, and planted her paws on it. Using all of her weight, she pushed it into the roaring water. But... Her paw got caught in the rotting wood before she could jump off, and wound up falling with the tree, as the rapids carried it towards the dam.

    When the others found the time to gaze around the lake Itsune had already crossed, Abyss paused and thought "But...How?!" Regret let her body slide off of Aku's back as she landed on her paws and held her left front paw up, she gazed around and saw a fallen tree but it looked like Racks(Horns) Have hit them infect the tree was so large it actually crossed the river, Regret muttered "Of course.." She then said "Heads up Freak shows are coming." She pointed to them with her muzzle.


Itsune turned his head to see the ebony fae, he growled and said "I HAVE TO SAVE YOUR TAIL?!" He jumped into the water and grasped the log with his front paws and lifted himself up as he rammed his head into the price the ebony fae was stuck in, causing it to break off, he grabbed her scruff and tossed her to the other part of the river and leaped off landing on his paws, Lexu ran to Abyss and said "You ok?!" Itsune turned around and walked back towards the south and motioned Lexu to come Lexu hissed and said "No brother, she needs help." Itsune snarled and said "Fine..!" walking towards her.

     Abyss scoffed faintly as she watched the dead tree destroy the rundown dam. Then, out of the blue, she turned and growled at Itsuna, with her usual fiery gaze. "If I wanted your help, I would rather die than receive help I don't need..." She said, tossing her head for the pack to continue.

Zanu glared at the horned wolf. He nodded to Abyss, following right behind her. Khar gave a loud screech, before taking to the air. From his height he could see the infected wolves, looking for a way across. Since they were stuck together, they began attacking each other. Khar looked away, he didn't need to see any more than that.
Instead he assumed his usual role of scouting the path ahead while still in sight of the pack.
