Hysteria walked into the sunlight. She looked back in the newly-dug den and caleld to Arrow, "You can come out." A 5 foot snake slowly slithered out of the den, flickering his tongue in and out. Arrow looked at her, "If you ssay ssso. I trusst you, Hyssteria." The she-wolf nodded at her partner's words. She and Arrow had been traveling together for about 3 days, after making a deal that they would protect and travel with eachother, if Hysteria hunted for Arrow. She walked farther into the open, farther from the safety of their den. Scanning the clearing surrounded by pine trees, Hysteria's golden-yellow eyes slowly searched for prey. She would hunt for Arrow first, since he was smaller, but also venomous. Plus Hysteria didn't like eating tiny snake-food. A scuttling sound and bushes rustling caused Hysteria to prick her ears and slowly stalk towards the bush. A mouse burst into the clearing. Hysteria lunged and shook the tiny thing in her mouth like a ragdoll. She threw the dying mouse to Arrow. The mouse was certainly alive, but didn't have the strength to move. Arrow opened his mouth wide. Hysteria turned away. She thought it was scary how Arrow could swallow things whole without choking. Hysteria sniffed the air for any deer or fawn scent. She left the clearing, her snake friend following a distance behind.

After walking/slithering for a while, Hysteria and Arrow came across a still fawn. The fawn saw them, but refused to break cover. That's right. Stay still. Hysteria lunged and grabbed the squealing fawn in her mouth. The fawn kicked multiple times then went limp. She placed it on the ground and looked at Arrow, who had a lump in his body where the mouse was, but it was shrinking. Hysteria turned back and started to devour her prey. It was slightly tough, as if it had just walked a long way. But she didn't mind. In this world, survival was everything. Her birth pack had tore itself apart, mate killing mate, warrior killing pups, and pack destroying eachother. Hysteria had fled before she became part of the massacre. Arrow hissed, "Mother-deer ssscent." Hysteria lifted her nose into the air. Surely the doe was nearby, coming to check on her fawn. Hysteria ate some more then hid in some dark bushes, Arrow following. The doe emerged and approached her fawn's body. She sniffed it and stomped her hoof on the ground. She cried out a mourning cry, and bounded into the forest. Hysteria waited a bit longer, then crept out, and finished off her prey, Arrow checking for danger.
