Aluxia watches Abyss go and follows her curiously. she sees the lotus and smiles sitting down beside her friend and taking a drink from the river. she sits up and gazes at the clear water, "this place is beautiful..." she murmurs.

     "Yes. It is..." she smiled lightly. "The elder of my Past Pack used to say that this virus would let up when the lotuses start blooming. They can stay dorment under the mud for a thousand years before they finally decide to reach for the sun." she chuckled at the memory. "She said they were the laziest plants she had ever greeted, and yet they were so beautiful." she sighed lightly, as if the ripples in the pool chased away the memory. "She said they were the very signature of faith." She directed her yellow optics towards the moon. "'Drinking the water of a Lotus Pool will bring luck wherever you may roam, and thus will pass it on to your loved ones.'" she said as if praying.

Slayter paced the doorway of the cave, his muscles tensing slightly. His ears pivoted, listening to the sound of the woods around him. "Switch!" He called. The bird came over to him and blinked. "Yes?". Slayter flickered his ear and cleared his throat. "Go follow them. Just to be sure." Switch yawned and nodded before lifting up into the air. He perched in a tree and watched the fae's talking.

Aluxia nods, she heard of lotuses, and there was a legend about them in her old pack- or there was... where she was raised, the sun was almost always out. there was a pool that they kept safe fed from a cave spring that had lotuses growing in it. the shamans kept them for healing and dreams. she looks up and smiles at switch in his branch.

     Abyss nodded as she gazed at a lotus that was different from the rest... it wasn't a pale pink, no. It was a deep, beautiful blue. It was in the process of blooming. "Look there." she said quietly, pointing it out to the other female.

Aluxia looks over and studies the odd plant, "interesting..." she says comparing it to the others. "why is it blue?" she looks at abyss.

     "Some things were just meant to be different from the rest. If you look carefully, not all of the lotuses are the same. Some have more petals than other, while some fade from purple to pink, or pink to white. The blue one is a sign of intelligence, and the senses."

aluxia smiles then calls out to switch "switch, can you go get the others?" she looks at abyss and grins, "we all need the luck right now." she says.

     She smiled. "You're right. I should go get Klein, too."

Switch raised his brow and ruffled his feathers loosely. "For some supersticious crap about a flower? Not likely." He nodded and stayed put.
