Alice is walking throught the forest of forgetfulness. She wants to know what day of the week it is. She stops and asks a lion and a unicorn. Now the lion lies all of the time on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The unicorn always lies on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Alice asks the lion what day it is, he says, "Well, yesterday was one of my lying days." Alice can't figure it out just from the lion's answer so she asks the unicorn and the unicorn says, "Yesterday was also one of my lying days." What day is it?

And I want to know how you figured it out, so if you guess it takes the victory out of it! *manical laughter*

Monday? The lion would be lying, because it's Monday, one of his lying days, and he would be lying about yesterday because it wasn't one of his lying days. As for the unicorn... he forgot because it's the forest of forgetfulness? |D

Edit: Meh I take that back D|< It's Thursday, because the unicorn would be lying; Wednesday isn't one of his lying days. The lion is telling the truth because Wednesday was one of his lying days, but Thursday isn't.

And uncle Smithers is right the second time! But your reasoning is off.

None of the Lions and Unicorns lieing days over lap, so it HAS to be the unicorn that is lieing.

Now the lion lies all of the time on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The unicorn always lies on Thursday, Friday and Saturday

This means that we are left with either Thursday, Friday or Saturday. We know that yesterday was one of the lions lieing days, so we have to find the unicorns lieing day that has a lion lieing day before it. Friday and Saturday have days that the lion is telling the truth before them, which leaves us with Thursday! The only day that the day before is one of the lions lieing days!
