Holly swiveled her ears, scanning the dense jungle with calm eyes. She was being tracked and she knew it. A small lift at the corner of her mouth might betray her tactics. Holly faced away from the sound towards a large bush and growled, "come out now, no use hiding." this made the creature following her think it was safe to attack from behind, while she was turned. A slight rustle and the world slowed. Her claws flexed and she felt blood flow through her body, tensing her muscles. her own heartbeat was loud in her ears and she turned and stabbed her claws into the chest of the creature attacking her. another move of her claws and she had thrown him into the ground. wasting no time, she leaped on the creature and quickly severed the life pumping artery. all the while, she had not let her smile slip. (eek, that was horrible. wish i had more time to do better, but i'm in a hurry!)
