Flak glanced over at the newcomer and gave a nod, rising to his paws to pad after her. As she began to open up, he sat back on his haunches, ears cupped forward to listen intently to her words. He flicked his ears back, glancing down in silent sympathy. "Well- all I can say is the past is the past. There's no possible good that can come from dwelling in it. You're here now, and all you can do now is look forward at the future." He flashed a brief smile, gazing over his shoulder as she trudged off to a corner of the cave. Knowing there was nothing more he could even think of to help the situation, he let out a subtle sigh and stayed put.
Gavroche lay flopped over on his back inside one of the caves, rather bored with the activity that had been going on around him. Every so often, he would lip a few words uttered by someone in a sort of mocking way. With an exaggerated huff, he plopped over onto his side and sat up, shaking his head. He watched as the new dog, Blizzard, he had heard her be called, lay down in the nearby corner. Tilting his head, he heaved himself to his paws, curious as to why she was crying. "What's'a matter?" He yipped as he padded over to her, his childish voice echoing in its usual loud default volume.
