((Thanks. I'm just going to guess what happened, because...there's kind of a lot of pages to go through...))
Dusty snarled at the mutant, launching himself in front Micah to defend her. His tail trembled as he threw himself on top of it, pinning it down to the ground with his weight. As they collapsed with a grunt, the brute glanced around, his eyes filled with relief as he watched Micah bound away with a fish clamped in her jaws. As he watched, a sharp pain in the leg made Dusty turn to see the mutant picking itself up and shaking its head, before snarling and rushing up towards him. Anger rushed through Dusty as he dodged the mutant's first attack, before spinning around and clamping his jaws around its leg. That's what you get for messing with Micah! Dusty thought triumphantly as he heard the mutant howl in pain. Flicking his tail, he was about to hit another blow, when something sharp nipped his hind leg, before it dove under them. Caught off balance, Dusty toppled over into the sandy ground, dazed. Shaking his head, he glared around to see that another mutant was baring its teeth at him, while its other companion circled the brute. Snarling, Dusty was about to pick himself up when the second mutant lunged for him, pinning him down to the ground. The disgusting breath of the mutant's billowed in his face, and the tan brute couldn't help but let out a cough. Distracted for a moment, he let out a tiny yelp as the mutant sank its teeth into his throat. Thinking quick, Dusty kicked the mutant away, sending a cloud of sand into the air. Shaking his head, he ripped his throat away from his attacker's grip and rolled away, leaping to his paws for another attack.
A sharp cry made Dusty jerk his head up, and his thoughts immediately went to Micah. "Micah!" Dusty called hoarsely, shaking a limp mutant from his back. Ignoring the other one, he sprinted over to where he had last seen the white fae disappear. Anxiously, he darted to Micah's side, seeing that she was laying on her side, panting. "Micah!" the brute repeated, nudging her gently. "Are you okay? What happened? Are you hurt badly? Speak to me!" Dusty demanded, glancing around for any lurking mutants, before returning to the fae's side.
Risto stormed through the trees as the branches whipped past him, sending sharp pains to the tom's face. Ignoring them, the feline headed farther into the woods. He didn't pay any attention to the other feline as he pushed past the bushes, anger flipping through him. He halted for a moment, tilting his head to one side. Why was he angry even? Shrugging, Risto stepped out of the tall grass as he froze. An enemy scent lingered in the trees as he glanced around, bristling. Unsheathing his claws, his neck fur fluffed out as he arched his back, bracing himself for a sudden attack.
As if on cue, several mutants ambled out of the trees, snarling as they headed to Risto. Letting out a sharp yowl, the tom turned and fled, his gaze snapping around for any sign of Vicci. "Vicci!" Risto shouted, his voice barely audible to him. The only sound he could hear was his paws thumping against the forest ground. "Vicci!" He yowled again, blindly crashing into something solid. Letting out a grunt of surprise, he found himself into Vicci's face.
Staring at her, Risto gripped her shoulders with his claws, unaware that they were unsheathed. "Go and warn the group that the mutants are attacking us!" The tom screeched into the she-cat's face, shaking her roughly. He knew it sounded a little stupid and dumb, but before he could change his mind, the mutants crashed out of the bushes, snarling and panting as they crept up towards the felines. Panic overwhelmed Risto as he felt his own heart pound, and he sheathed his claws, backing away from Vicci. Not too bad. Risto mused, eyeing the group wary. Only five. At least it's not the whole group.
Glancing at the other feline, Risto wondered what she was thinking. "I hope you have a plan." He hissed over to Vicci, unsheathing his claws again and lashing his tail. "Because if you don't, we're all going to be mutant snack in a few seconds or so." He muttered.
