Dusty nodded at Micah. "Alright. I'm gonna stay out here for a while longer." He called after her, making sure his voice was heard over the wind and rain. Shaking out his pelt again, he stared down at the shore, watching the waves crash against each other. He shivered, wondering what it would feel like to be in the waters alone. Licking his nose nervously, he glanced around, hunching up against the wind as he kept watch. As the lightning swirled down from the sky, Dusty couldn't help but let out a small whimper. Lighting had always scared him since he was a pup. Flattening his ears, he was about to directly head into the cave when a strong burst of wind flew past him, making his fur stand on an end. As he raised his head, he noticed that something shiny was coming towards him...
Dusty ducked out of the way as pieces of glass flew past him, one scraping his muzzle. Shaking his head, he realized that the glass belonged to the building they head stayed in for a while. Deciding not to take anymore chances, Dusty was about to turn and sprint for the tunnel when some movement caught his eye. He noticed that a tiny figure was darting down the shore and towards the forest. Whatever. It could be an unlucky piece of prey. Dusty thought as he shrugged off the feeling, hurrying towards the cave. Ignoring the light scraps from the rocks, he popped into the cave, glad to be out of the hurricane as he slowed down to a halt. Everybody seemed here, but the brute couldn't see Gavroche. Shrugging, he decided that the pup could be buried underneath the mass of pelts here. Padding towards the end of the cave, he stretched out on the floor, moving his head so he wouldn't have to stare out at the storm. Every time the lightning struck, he would jolt before resting his head between his paws.
