Strays of the Ruins. (Stray dog/cat RP, open & accepting)

Micah sighed as the storm continued her ears perked as the rain patted against the ground causing more puddles to form, she wondered when the storm would stop it had been going on for a few hours now. Her attention turning to Dusty as he muttered something about staying by her side through the storm, lifting her head from her paws she shyly nodded as one ear flopped over "Sure, if you don't mind.." She muttered another crack of thunder sounded and she dropped her head onto her paws again.


Teegan peered around at the pack and sighed then looking out the tunnel a huff escaping her maw the storm didn't bother her to much, but she didn't like how she couldn't go jump about in the rain because of the lightning. Looking over at the food pile she padded towards Flak "Should I go round and give everyone a snack? No ones seemed to have eaten anything and they're bound to be feeling hungry.." She muttered glancing at the pack again then back towards Flak.


Thunder and lightning continued to crack in the skies outside and the large pups continued to whimper, lifting his head he allowed them to pull in closer. The small Basenji placed a paw over the pups and licked their fur slightly helping to keep them warm and comfort them so they could get back to sleep. Once they drifted off he lifted his head his paw remaining gently on their sides, smiling at the youngsters he peered around at the pack.

Once everyone entered the cave again, Flak followed. Inside, he paused to violently shake the water from his fur. With a huff, he perked his ears at Teegan's question and nodded. "Yeah, good idea." He replied with a smile, flicking his wet tail.

Gavroche trudged inside the cave, leaving a trail of water from his soaked paws. Shaking his blonde pelt, he licked his maw and trotted further inside towards the back wall. Shivering a bit, he plopped down and curled into a ball, silently glancing around at the others.

Teegan smiled and dipped her head "Well I'll get right to it" she smiled again the padding off towards the pile, first grabbing a crab and tossing it towards Flak letting out a bark letting him know. First she grabbed a crab and a fish dropping it infront of Cara and Jip, going back to the pile she collected another crab and a small fish incase the pups had been moved onto solid foods. Jip nodded and smiled thanks "No problem." She muttered then turning away and grabbing two fish dropping them infront of Vicci and Xion. Strolling back to the pile she grabbed two crabs and placed them infront of Micah and Disty "Thanks Teegan.." The white fae muttered and she nodded grabbing a crab, she trotted towards Risto and dropped it infront of him. "Here ya go.." She smiled then returned back to the pile grabbing a fish and giving it to Marie. The shepherds attention locked onto the brown pup a smile across his face, grabbing a crab from the pile she trotted over to Govrache and placed it infront of him on the ledge "You ok?" She questioned he seemed to be shivering and she seemed a little concerned.

Gavroche raised his head, perking his ears as the crab was placed in front of him. Wagging his tail slowly, he pushed himself up to his haunches, placing a paw on top of the crustacean. "Hmm? Yeah I'm fine." The pup responded to Teegan, his muscles quivering again beneath his damp coat. "Just a lil' c-cold is all." He added with a brief smile, trying to force himself to stop shivering.

Flak glanced down at the crab Teegan had tossed to him. Wagging his tail, he glanced up at her and flashed a grateful smile before yipping a thanks. Lowering himself down to his belly, he began to pick apart the shell of the crap with his incisors, stripping the exoskeleton away from the tender meat beneath.

Teegan raised a brow as she looked at the pup as he replied, she knew he was cold but she didn't want to pester him and get him aggitated. "Ok well if you need anything just come see me.." She smiled dipping her head then whipping around and grabbing a fish from the near by food pile, lowering onto her stomach she began tearing into the fishes flesh.

Gavroche glanced up at the shepherd and nodded slowly, quickly glancing back downward. As Teegan walked away, he let out a quiet huff and slid down to his belly, shivering again as his underside made contanct with the cold stone floor. Remembering his crab hunting lessons from the other day, he quickly began to peel away the hard shell of the crab to get to the meat.

Staring down at his paws, a small thud was heard in front of him. Glancing up, Risto noticed that Teegan had given him some crab to eat. "Thanks." He nodded, giving the dead creature a nudge with his paw. When he realized how hungry he was, he wolfed down the crab in a few gulps, feeling better as his tongue swiped over his mouth. The rest of the group had been given some prey by Teegan, and they were all consuming it. He noticed Gravoche shivering, but when Teegan asked if he was alright, the pup replied that he was fine. A frown deepened on Risto's face with concern, but he decided to check on the pup later.

Teegan lifted her head from the fish carcass for a moment as she peered around at the pack, letting out a sigh as another crack of lightning was heard and the inside of the cave lit up for a slit second. A snarl escaped her maw as she dipped her head back towards the carcass and continued shreading it to pieces her tail swaying to and fro as she satisfied her hunger.


Jip smiled as Teegan dropped the fish and crab infront of him he decided to pull the fish towards himself and begin to eat. Slowly retrieving his paw from the pups' side in order not to wake them he slightly wrapped his paws around the fish causing its tail to stick up in the direction towards his maw. The Basenjis stomach let out one last growl and he dipped his head towards the fish and began tearing it up, wolfing the meat down.


Micah smiled at Teegan and muttered a thanks as she dropped the carcass infront of her, sighing e dipped her head and pulled one of the crabs towards herself. Peeling off the shell she placed a side and dipped her head to rip off the meat. A crack of lightning echoed and a flash of light lit up the cave, shaking slightly she drew her head back gasping. Then snarling she dipped her head back towards the crabs carcass and began eating.

Flak was quickly finished with the crab. He nosed the empty exoskeleton aside and let out a sigh, licking his jaws. He shot a glance at the others before putting his head down between his forepaws. Outside, the storm had picked up. The wind was once again whipping and the rain pelted the rocky ground just outside.

Gavroche worked picking apart the crab. As a gust of wind filtered into the cave, the small pup couldn't help but quiver from the cold breeze. Shoving the half eaten crab aside, he curled himself into a tight ball in an attempt at keeping warm.

A sigh escaped Risto when he noticed that the pup was shivering again. Deciding to go and check on Gavroche, the feline rose to his paws and padded over, sitting cautiously by the pup. Giving Gavroche a soft nudge, he whispered, "Are you sure you're just cold? I want to make sure - I don't want to take any chances."
